OUTREACH opportunities
Backpack Drives
UGBC was happy to participates in two backpack drives.
- Barrow County Schools. Partnering with Barrow County who supplies a list of school supplies, UGBC gave out backpacks to students in the community at Apalachee High School to help those students that needed school supplies.
- Georgia Baptist Convention - UGBC provided more than 40 backpacks to students in rural south Georgia who were in need of various school supplies.
Mulberry Elementary School
UGBC values it's partnership with Mulberry Elementary School. Located a mile from the church, we have been honored to provide volunteers to support teachers and students whenever the need arises including providing assistance during their Thanksgiving activities partnering to read with young learners.
Dacula Middle School
A new partnership this year, UGBC supported Dacula Middle School when the call came for fathers to participate in a tailgating event to support the students. We have also suppled nutritional support for staff during professional development days.
sharing library
We are delighted to announce that our Sharing Library is now open to the community. Located right along the sidewalk leading to the playground, it’s a perfect stop during your next visit. We invite you to stop by, browse our collection, and take home a new story. Our shelves are currently stocked with wonderful titles for children ages preschool through 12 years old.
